      Hi guys!, I had this idea for a move:

      Attacks.

      Pinball.
      Steel.
      Physical.
      The user curls up, extends its spikes and attacks by rolling. If this attack fails, the user cannot move the next turn.
      BP: 130
      Acc: 90
      PP: 10
      The name is Pin (spike) + ball. Winteox learns this! Now is a parallel to Hi Jump Kick. Reasoning in other post.

      Laser Shot.
      Steel.
      Special.
      The user shoots a laser beam at the target. Cannot miss.
      BP: 90.
      Acc: -
      PP: 20
      Is the same that Aura Sphere. Resonoir learns this!

      Muscle Strike.
      Fight.
      Physical.
      The user hits the foe with muscle-packed power. This attack haas BP equal to user current HP. (Eruption method.)
      BP: -
      Acc: 90
      PP: 5
      Physical Eruption.


      Abilities:

      Damage Control: If this Pokémon has HP below the half of it max HP, all damage is halved. (After all damage calculations. Ex: Fire Blast against Resonoir having this ability. Damage is halved, so it instead of doing super effective damage does normal damage.) Basically lowers the supereffective scale. Is like an 1/3 HP activated Solid Rock, but for all moves. Is like Multiscale too.

      Mind Breaker: When this Pokémon enters into battle, both foe's Sp. Atk is lowered by one stage. (Special Intimidate)

      The BP is a bit high. Give it recoil/Jump Kick style recoil?

      Yes, if you fail, you hurt yourself. Or (hypothetically), you dig your spikes on the wall and you cannot move.

      Pinball is good... and I think that not being able to move next round is enough of a punishment.

      I can't say the same about laser shot... why is it steel? why doesn't it miss? why 90 BP? Aura sphere is not spread that much... If you want an aura sphere like move for steel types... make it after a heat seeking torpedo. That will make more sense of why it does not miss rather than a laser... Also Make it physical!

      Lasers are super fast and precise, so that sort of explains why it doesn't miss. And it makes sense that it's steel type, since lasers are associated with technology.

      Also, physical? What the flesh? Lasers are beams of light, it's not anything like physically striking the target or something.

      Also, it should have 20 PP so it parallels Aura Sphere better.

      I meant the torpedo thing being physical not the laser.

      That's not how eruption and Water Spout work. Their base power is calculated by a formula that takes into account the amount of health the user has left. I believe it looks something like this:

      150 x (Current HP / Total HP)

      Therefore, if you had a pokemon with 100 total HP and it was at full health, the formula would be 150 x 1 or 150 base power. However, if it were at 50 HP, then the formula would be 150 x 1/2 or 75 base power.

      Gelo's right there. It's also worth noting that if you want to make a move with that effect, at leas make it more dramatic than Muscle Strike. Eruption is a huge, fiery inferno, Water Spout is a shower of water, Muscle Strike is...?

      That said, I actually want to keep this move, with the eruption effect, but rename it Super Combo.

      Basically is because when you receive more damage is less the damage you can do. And sorry if I said bad the mechanics. That Eruption thing often confuses me.

      I just remembered this. That isn't punsihment if you don't have a 4x weakness to Fire and Fightning.

      what are you talking about! I said that the one turn of not moving if the move missed is a good drawback! Sorry but I didn't understand the 4x weakness thing?! Once the user can't move, than the opponent is free to do whatever it likes to do! For me this is punishment even if the opponent decides simply to switch out!

      Basically your saying that after half HP loss your resonoir will have no weaknesses and resistance to every type in the game except fire and ground that will do normal damage... All of the other types will do 1/4 damage and the original normal damage type will do 1/2... Means... What are you talking about... Solid rock doesn't half damage it only makes super effective hits do 1.5X damage instead of 2x... and multiscale only works once when user HP is full! If your pokemon wasn't part steel type maybe it would have worked, but resonoir already have a ton of resistances and 2 weaknesses!!!

      You know, you don't have to put all of your moves on one thread. If anything, making separate threads would make it much easier to find each individual move.

      Ok activates at 1/3... Better but still too much!

      If you take my idea make damage control (Wich is a cool name BTW) as follows:

      Once the user's HP has dropped below 1/3 of it's max HP, Raises the user's DEF and Sp DEF by one stage! That would very good given resonoir's bulky nature and amazing defenses.

      Yeah, that is a good effect, but then I would have to change the name. And think that a Earthquake from Krolectron (for example) who has STAB and a good atack OHKOes Resonoir. I say that we would make our competitive play, so think of a good Pokémon. And I just noticed that Winteox is the perfect Sandstorm/Hail counter. Why? The typing grants no weather damage and it KOs with a STAB move. (Ice/Steel)

      You don't need to change the name... Damage control can be the fact that the pokemon raises defenses to lower the damage it gets... Still good!

      And you are only talking competitively about your pokemon... Resonoir, krolectron and winteox... As you see you are trying to make all of your pokemon competitively good wich is not bad but remember that not all competitive pokemon are so powerful... Some are but they are not common besides not all of them have a super ability and not all of them are a 500 and plus BST! You just need to be smart in the stat repartition and the movepool or give your pokemon something special like a new niche... Don't just think of POWER, POWER, POWER!
