I thought I put Chilloth on the poll. I guess there wasn't enough space. I'll try combining some of the similar names and see if there's enough room.

    Edit: fixed.

I think that poll is not working cz every active user actually gave a name and voted for the one he gave... (Well I think so since I did That)...

Lepiluna is smoother, and it connects. It also has the word luna. That means moon. So, it is cool.

That's why I said "a" counterpart rather than "the". Water and Ice are basically the same thing, except with exceedingly different properties, yet they both are known to pair with fire.

Anyway, I think Lepiluna is winning by two votes, so we may as well keep that name. I edited the OP with Lepiluna.

Lepiluna is great it was my second favorite after chilloth!

Anyway and I'm really sorry to bring this again but I'm not convinced of making a Bug/Ice counterpart to Bug/Fire... I mean a pokemon in this league should not have two 4x weaknesses (Rock and Fire) both offensive powerhouses types. What I found that Oddly the Bug/Flying type is perfect for a counterpart of a Bug/Fire and still relatively weaker. Bug/Fire is weak to Flying type attacks (2x), to Water type attacks (2x) and rock (4x) while bug/Flying are weak to Fire (2x), Electric (2x), Flying (2x), Ice (2x) and rock (4x).

What I want to say that both type combination share a 4x weakness to rock and a 2x weakness to the secondary type the other have. I know that probably you won't change the type now but I thought of letting you know this. I seriously think that we are being very unfair to lepiluna CZ we are making it that much inferior to volcarona while it supposed to be it's counterpart not it's prey!

Remember that the whole concept of this counterpart is that the moon is cosmically inferior to the sun. There will probably be some sort of in-game mythology associated with Lepiluna and Volcarona.

    Maybe something like this:

One time, long, long ago, the Moon and Sun shared the diurnal sky, and the creatures that lived upon them lived in peace. However, one day, Volcarona began to brag about how the Sun was larger and more popular than the moon. This made Lepiluna jealous, so he tried to block out Volcarona and the Sun (*cough*Solar Eclipse*cough*), but Volcarona was too strong for him, and Lepiluna and the Moon were banished to the night sky, were Lepiluna is forced to constantly watch the vicious Poke'mon, Lunarine.

Obviously way too long for a Poke'dex, but maybe a NPC could tell you it in game or something...

That's awesome. Maybe it could be a combo Volcorona vs.Lepiluna/Flitty vs. Lunarine battle.

That would also make a nice explanation as to why the moon is usually banished to the darkness of night. We science experts know it's because the light illuminating the atmosphere blocks out light from the moon during the day, but of course we're talking about mythology.

King you are really the king of story telling! Wow! But lepiluna and volcarona are not legendary pokemon... Lunarine is more powerfull than lepiluna and the same thing between the others! If lepiluna has to watch for lunarine should'nt it be more powerfull.

Not to be always protesting cz I really really like your story king and I'm sure there is a perfect reasonning for this!

Why serving someone means that you like him/her? Normally servants hate their... What's the word? I don't know.

    Or I understood it bad?

Maybe something like this can be included in the game, either in a pokedex entry or somewhere else, like in a museum:

Charred fossil evidence indicates that Lepiluna often fell prey to Volcarona in the wild. Now, however, they live in completely different areas.

When trapped on the moon, Lunarine is sapped off all it's powers. Only during the Eclipse or after it's captured does it have it's full power.

Wow, I'm glad you guys like my story so much. Very Happy I personally think Gelo's is better, though.

But how, dare I ask, would Lunarine find itself on the moon in the first place? Unless this is just another piece of mythology? Also, I thought this thread was for Lepiluna, not Lunarine.

I actually think that this would be in the Plot section. We're (too much people) making a great legend 'bout this. And that Lepiluna is the guard in charge of Lunarine not escaping. But during eclipses Lunarine gains its full strength and can escape.

True, but this particular mythology will have no effect whatsoever on the plot on the game. If we ever do end up implementing it, maybe as a post-game thing, then we'll start a discussion in the plot discussion, but let's focus on the main game for now, shall we?

Flitty trapped Lunarine on the moon.

Also, this is just a legend you'll hear about, I don't think it really has any significance to the plot.

I've come up with kind of a design for Lepiluna, i know it resembles too much to volcarona so i will probably make it thinier in the next drawing
