Post by Skykip on Tue May 17, 2011 8:29 pm

It's Fail but I think it has an ok concept,

    Paru
    The question Pokemon
    Type: Psychic/ghost
    Ability: Thought
When hit the user has a 90 percent chance of becoming confused.

I ike it. It will probably go great with a certain Poke'mon idea I have...

The only thing I have a problem with is, Thought is a bit overpowered. Every move it has a 90% chance of confusing? I think it's ability should be Tangled Feet or something, and thought should be it's signature move.

Also, is it supposed to look all gray and gloomy?

Where'd you get the name from? Just saying, because all pokemon's names originate from somewhere.

I love ghost types. This is an interesting concept, but its ability is a bit broken ("broken" meaning so unfair that it "breaks" the game) However, I'm going to need to see some real concept art to be able to visualize it. If you have no good art, at least give a physical description.

I can draw it, I just need some time since I can't draw on the computer (I'm left handed) It does seem broken but what about Shedinja? It's ability makes it almost untouchable maybe if it was a 50% chance it would be better though. Paru comes from Paradox.

Shedinja has plenty of weaknesses, it's just a matter of finding one. Fire, flying, rock, ghost, and dark moves can all destroy it in literally one hit. If your pokemon doesn't have one of these moves, then switch out. Now if Shedinja actually had some respectable defenses, then it would be considered broken.

Well, there are a few options that make sense for ghost pokemon.

You could always use the new ability that King Dedede made, called "Incomprehensible" that negates copying moves such as Transform, Role Play, Mirror Move, etc. Check the Moves & Abilities section to find out more.

Like Dedede said, Tangles Feet would make sense if you're going in that direction. Many ghost types also have Pressure, or maybe Cursed Body would work if you're looking for a contact-triggered ability.

Incomprehensible is a cool ability mixing that with a pokemon that knows mean look and ditto is useless!

Not to be intruding or anything but psychic/ghost is a very bad typing combo all it does is worsen the weaknesses of ghost type and psychic type.

    weaknesses 4x ghost and dark
    resistances 2x poison and psychic
    immunities normal and fighting

Too bad since I really like this combo cz I thought of a pokemon named psyspell being ghost/psychic... I gave it the ability filter to try and soften it's weaknesses so what u think about filter as an ability?

It does lower the weaknesses to 3x instead of 4x!

Type combinations don't really matter when we're actually making the game. We just put in the pokemon and let the players decide which pokemon are the best to use on their team.
