I got a couple things to say:

1. The second evolution looks far too similar to the first

2. The first form is a bit too complicated for a starter pokemon. Make it simpler.

3. Sprite is way too big. Canvas size should be 80x80 (I think you got that right, though) but the sprite itself needs to be smaller, to make it appear smaller in the game. Larger pokemon need larger sprites, smaller pokemon need smaller ones.

4. As for the second evolution, ten characters is the limit for pokemon names, and he has one letter too many.

5. Why does the name sound so... Japanese? Its name has to make sense. Example: squirtle = squirt + turtle, charmander = char + salamander, bulbasaur = bulb + dinosaur.

Otherwise, I like it. Nice work.

I'll fix it! But first I need a name, how about Catscade?

Yeah, you're okay on complexity. And I like the new name.

However, the sprite is still too big, I'm sorry to say. Unfortunately, you can't just resize it and be done with it; in a sprite, every pixel counts, and when you resize it, the pixels are all rearranged. You probably noticed that it looks messier when you resized it. You have to clean up your sprite by re-doing all the borders. Also, keep in mind that the canvas MUST be 80x80, but that's not a big issue. Can be fixed easily.

If you want to save the trouble of re-doing your sprite, I can make one for you.

I like that concept art. Maybe try making it in paint or whatever program you use so I can visualize the colors.

Haven't scratched a sprite in a while, so maybe I can try making a sprite for this thing.
