New Trainer Types Empty New Trainer Types

Post by MrLiLiBubba Mon Nov 07, 2011 2:22 am

So if we are making a 100% original pokemon game, then i was thinking we should not only have our own gym leaders, but also our own types of regular trainers (besides basically every new generation of games introduces new types of trainers) here is a place to post new trainer ideas as well at where they would be found and what type of pokemon they use. for examples, here are my ideas:

Skaters: found in urban areas (cities, routes close to cities). Pokemon used: mercecat and evo, bython, felion and evo, skullink and evo, scraggy and evo, pestizard, absol

Hoodlums: found in same places ans skaters. Pokemon used: plushund, ponchobat and evo, scraggy and evo, pestizard, draven, riolu and evo, houndour and evo, aipom and evo, bython

Wait. Hoodlums or Dancers would also use Vibreaker or Sonarox, 'cause they're basically a walking boombox.

    Pyrotechnic

Basically uses the same type of pokemon as a firebreather (plus Electrode and other exploding pokemon). They'll probably be wearing yellow jumpsuits with helmets and holding sticks of dynamite. They would work great in a fire-type gym.

Sorcerers and spellcasters found in the forests (Rare encounters) They use different kind of psychic, Dark, Ghost, Bug, Grass and poison type pokemon!

I like all the others ideas too!

Can the game software support trainers while diving? If so, we could have scuba divers with water type pokémon, mainly seafloor pokemon. Just an idea.

Sorry, J-woo. I'm technologically impaired Razz ! Anyway, all the ideas are cool. If we had a dark type gym, we could give it hoodlums!

Arachnologist: uses Ariados and pre-evo, Drapion and pre-evo, Vinegood and pre-evo. I don't know how they'd be dressed (any ideas?). Comes in both ♂ and ♀.

Samurai: uses Seviper, Mercecat and evo, Airror and evo, Conkeldurr and pre-evo. Dressed in paper armor.

    What do you think?

I think bug catchers and bug maniacs already fill this role quite well.

This would be even better if we had ninja trainers who have a bitter rivalry with the samurai.

Yeah, but those are just ninja boys. I'm talking about ninja men, who have actually received training and such.

The ideas seem great but we have still a problem; who is going to make the sprites for all these new characters from scratch, without using any previous character sprite?

That's a pretty good idea. Maybe we can specialize their sprites so they resemble the gym leader of each gym.
