Zamiapunk and Frondula

Well, Gelo suggested I post these guys, so here they are:

The name is a mix of punk and Zamiaceae, a family of Cycads, the plant this is based of of.

Zamiapunk has a round body, a diamond-shaped mouth with a single sharp tooth, one frond that comes forward somewhat like bangs, and a punk look on its face. It has three clawed feet.

This Poke'mon is so strange that when it was found by scientist, they dismissed it as hoax. It's poison is one of the most dangerous in the Poke'mon world.
Evolves from a Zamiapunk that knows Neurotoxin

Frondula is based of a Cycad like Zamiapunk, a Sago Palm to be exact. The Sago Palm's seeds are highly poisonous.

Frondula i a very strange Poke'mon, it takes the form of a medium-sized cycad, it has one large eye and one mouth with a ring of teeth. It's feet have four claws. It has many fronds on the top of it, and in the center of the fronds is a large pinecone-like pod (exclusive to females).

These sound pretty sick. I might make some concept art.

I must say, I'm looking forward to seeing it. A stereotype mixed with a prehistoric plant. I'm not joking when I say how fantastic this idea is.

I made a drawing for these guys, but I didn't follow your descriptions exactly. I might get around to scanning it soon.

That's fine. Although, I'd prefer if they stayed plants (this is more of a joke than an actual request), I'd also prefer if Frondula had one eye, just because it's supposed to be a strange plant Poke'mon.


Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing your drawings, you'll probably get me to change their appearance a bit.

Zaimapunk has two round, empty eyes. Frondula has a single angry eye, with fronds covering the area where its other eye would normally be.

These guys are pretty cool. I forgot to give Zaimapunk a single tooth, but we'll try to include that in the final design. I gave Frondula some spikes near the bottom like a sago palm (I used to live in Florida, so I was surrounded in sago palms). In addition, I tried to shade in the areas that are supposed to be darker in the actual design. Frondula's frond was a pain to draw, and I have to admit that I didn't do a very good job on it.

Wow... those are amazing! Personally, I like your version of Zamiapunk's teeth more than mine, I worry that so many teeth will be hard to fit on a tiny Gen III sprite, though.

Gelatino don't hesitate to use this picture or to create a new sprite about zamiapunk, it was your drawing so you are the artist. Kdd; i have invented the colours, if you want other just tell me, as it is quite easy to change the colours now that it has been made the shading.

I like it. I imagined it being brown, but that's still good!


Could you make a shiny, as well? I'd imagine it'd be black with bright red leaves.
