Maybe they could live on a small island in the region with Grapop ad it's relatives (if it's okay with j Woo)? Seeing as Grapop is a Grape, and that's what Wine is made out of.

That's not good. Pokemon pretty much always have names that derive from their origin or are a pun of sorts.

Well, i'm glad you liked the idea. About Jwoo's creation, it's true they could be related in some way, maybe in the dex entry we could add something... About the names; Muscady comes from a french white whine called Muscadet and Bacuvine comes from Bachus+vine. (someone hit the point!). Both names can be remade, if you want.

I like the names. They're ambiguous enough that people have to think about where they come from or look it up.

What types are they?

They will be probably grass type (there are quite a lot but i don't think they could have another type). But don't worry i'll make the description ... as soon as i make the sprite. I was just waiting your opinion about the project.

Grass type sounds good. Are they related by evolution or are they each standalone pokemon like Sawk and Throh?

They can be normal type! Wine making pokemon doesn't need to ba grass!! Even better make them psychic we need some of those in our pokedex!

tho we dont yet have our rattata/sentret/zigzagoon/bidoof/patrat equivalent for our game, i dont think this is the right pokemon for that. it should stay grass because it in intertwined with the grapop evolutions and has a backstory and stuff

What makes it a good candidate for either of those types? It doesn't look 'Normal' enough for a Normal type, and it doesn't have any features to make it look like a Psychic type. Why not leave it as the type it was designed to be (according to the thread title), a Grass type?

I just thought that having that large belly and those eyes and it looks like it's daydreaming may actually be a good defensive psychic type like grumpig! Plus Maybe it can use it's psychic abilities to make wine ferment faster or stuff! But this is just a suggestion Grass type is fine!

no offense itsme, but it was designed to be grass type and it should stay that way. there will be other psychic and normal types
