Thanks. It's my first ever sprite from scratch.

For a first sprite, that's surprisingly good. Keep practicing and I'm sure you'll be a fantastic spriter. You're already better than me!

Also, I love how it's breathing poison. Seriously, that is a brilliant idea.

Thank you! I'm pretty terrible at coming up with ideas though, so I'll probably just trawl through the forums finding things to sprite.

That pokemon is good and it can be named LIZARDOUS

Since it's breathing gaz so it can learn the move Foul Breath!

Regardless of it's typing I think that it looks like a dragon and I think it will look a lot cooler to have colorless gazous legs... like the heat coming of the ground in the desert, that kind of effect.
I know that is hard to do but still it will be cool!!!

I don't think Lizardous is that great a name. Maybe something more discreet like, Noblizar (Radon is a noble gas+ lizard)

Noblizar sounds like a noble lizard if you need to use radon in the name just use radon, don't use an adjective that can be used in different meanings. Lizardous is a hazardous lizard that point directly to it's poison typing... But again if you don't like the name I can't force you to use it!

what about something like sludgezilla or Venomorion

wat if its ability was like kyogres called acid rain, it especially hurts those protected by sandstorms

It's not 'hard to do'. It's nearly impossible working on that sort of scale.

How about the name Toxaur? From toxic and saur(Latin for lizard). I think one good thing about that one is that it's short. Having a two syllable name makes it more catchy.

I actually like that name. I agree two syllables makes it much easier to say and more memorable. Also, it has an 'X' in it, which is good because 'X' is an awesome letter.

what about fumizard? (fume-i-zard)

Meh...I think we've been coming up with to many 'izard' names. Plus, while Fumeizard isn't really awkward so to speak, it isn't that memorable. It would be an awesome name for another pokemon, but I think a mascot's name should be more catchy.

did some japenese-enlish dictionary surfing and came up with a combination of spirit and dinosaur. im not sure how it should be spelled but its pronounced ray-poo-roo maybe it could be reipuru, repuru, raypuru? idk xD plus it start with an r just like radon conviniently

We've got quite a few name ideas now, so I'm making a poll. I used all the names suggested on this thread, even if they've been shot down (except the ones that exceed the maximum character limit). Cast your votes.

A week for the movepool guys. So I can start the NGPOTW. Itsme, can you handle this? Then I need some movesets. Thanks.

This poll is long since done and we're in agreement that Toxaur is the name of choice. So I'm deleting the poll.

Also, I'm thinking of adjusting the sprite we have right now. Not saying it doesn't look awesome, but I think the pose needs to take up more of the image to make it look bigger, and the poison breath is a little unnecessary in a sprite.

I'll work on it in the week end!

By the way, I was thinking, what about Argon Volley as the signature move? Argon is a type of gas, and a volley is a 'chain' of projectile attacks.
