Gym Leader(s) idea

Ah, and DiZ remember Hydreigon applied for the dark one and just-testing for the fire type one too.
And far of this topic, anyone has thought about how is going to be the character's journey (city's order,when he gets the bicke..)?

If nobody's taken it yet, maybe I could be a fighting type leader?

1 Gym - Fight.

2 Gym - Fire

3 Gym - Flying

4 Gym - Grass

5 Gym - Water

6 Gym - Dark

7 Gym - Electric

8 Gym - Dragon

Well, we have to have a ground type gym for Ferrety, and we can't have an electric gym if you want to be an electric elite four member.

I was only saying that I used that order.

I think it'd be better if I was a Gym Leader, but since everybody wants me too I'll be an E4 member.


EDIT: i don't think Fighting should be the first, and I was thinking if she wanted to Lyrebirdgirl could be a Flying-type Gym Leader, seeing as she said she likes Birds. but that's just a thought.


Also, who's water? Frostie?

In my opinion we should have this order;

1-Doroda city.User: Frostichu; she likes cute pokemons and has designed the "cattish" ones like yit-yang or Catscade. I think she should be the first gym leader (if she ever returns,of course)but i'm not sure about the type. My guesses are normal or water (although Empiria city could work better as a place for the water gym as it is an island)

2-Buckweed town.User:jwoo; he wanted to be grass type gym leader and near buckweed town there's buckweed forest,so it would make sense.

3-Doroda city(yeah, again? well i'm not sure about the order but i'm trying to fit the gyms to the half accorded pokemon levels in every gym).User;perhaps hydreigon with dark team (doroda city would be standing between cute and evil!)

4-Contropia city. User: Dimafo;Rock type; that's me, just check the post to the respective title.I want to stay in contropia city because there's mount fushi there and it seems as if it had a relation with rock type.

5-Medina city. User:Itsme;Ground type.The most logical option;dunes, desert and itsme.

6-Metropia city. User:Treecko's awesomeness; fighting type.I didn't know where to fit a fighting type gym leader but i think a huge city is the most logical option.

7-Empiria city. User:Lyrebirdgirl (if she appears around here); flying type. Not sure why having flying type on an island but...anyway, we'll discuss that for sure.

8-Lushia city. User: Just-testing; fire type. not sure about this one either but i know he said he wanted to be fire type gym leader..

Ps: what's the city between sacapuntas and the victory road.
Shouldn't we change mount fushi's name now the region is called Fushi?.

And the E4: 1-Electric;DiZ 2-Poison;king dedede 3-Steel;ferrety 4-??? 5-Champion:mainly ghost type;GELATINO

And, well there's still Shardna, Guardchomp and Oshawott...i had proposed to be something different than a gym leader to avoid situations like this but we finnally agreed on being gym leaders...maybe they could be someone important in the story too..

EDIT;as Gelo posted, the names of the places are just provisional (i thought you had discussed that when i was on holidays )

Maybe we could add in-game special Trainers? Example: In the top of Mt. Fushi is a special Trainer, as powerful as a Gym Leader. That one could be GuardChomp. We can put other in Buckweed Forest. That one could be Shardna. The last one in... Well. I don't know that much the map, but it could be in the Water Resort.


Side note: In the E4 are 4 Trainers and then the champ. Who wants to be in the Elite Four? The first one gets a cookie.

It's not like a competition you know... guardchomp is not active right now and shardna... well... I don't know what happened to him... I used to like him he had great ideas! Too bad!

BTW I liked your distribution dimafo but... It's true that I'm arabian but lebanon's climate is far from desertic... It's like southern spain... Now it's the beginning of winter so it's starting to cool down!

True, but they're aren't enough Gym Leaders for some not to be members and some to be.

Yes, i know, but except from the ones that aren't here right now that post was a compilation of all the people who had said they wanted to be gym leaders. I added the others just because i thought if they were going to return, they would like being gym leaders too. If they finnally don't want to appear or they don't use this forum anymore of course we would name those gym leaders as we want.

This "list" i made was only to give a General Idea of the gym leader's order and to discussit. If we achieve to concrete each leader position (first,second..) then we will be able to concrete pkm's levels in each gym. This way we could continue working on each leader's post because right now, they are quite stocked as we don't know their pkm's levels and consequently;attacks,items,which pokemons will exactly have every leader... This was made to help, not to start a debate wether we should keep people a place as a gym leader or not

Here are all the names for Gym Leaders I could come up with:

Gayle(♀) - Flying
Wheatly(♂) - Grass (this is a real name, not only the name of a certain robot)
Jay(♂) - Flying
Gail(♀) - Flying or Ice
Vernon(♂/♀) - Grass or Poison
Chelsea(♀) - Water
Leary(♂) - Dark or Ghost
Isaac(♂) - Bug
Sylvia(♀) - Steel

Jay works far, far better as a Flying trainer's name.

cuz i always found it ironic in all the games how all the gym leaders just HAPPEN to have names that match their types xD

That's not a bad thing at all. It forces the game makers to use unique names rather than boring ol' regular names that people use.

I don't see anything wrong in having the gym leaders' names based on the type their train, however its true sometimes gamefreak gives too obvious names like Skyla or Gardenia. I really like the names for gym leaders we already have, all based on the type like Taek,Quarslo,Ramili...so i suggest continue like this

Definitely! I like the naming thing... It gives a continuity to every subject! It just seems more fitting and original to have a flying gym leader named skyla rather than a flying gym leader named Steve! No originality, no personalization and no ingeniosity!

I don't understand why that would need to be changed. It's worked well in the real games, plus we'd have to get rid of the awesome names we have already! Sorry. I had to use that emoticon.
