Draven The Raven Dragon Pokemon

Another pokemon idea of mine that I had for ages. Here's an old creation of it.



I am thinking of remaking it a little bit sometime soon. Suggetions for a better look is welcomed but I really want to let it keep the name that I chose for it myself.

Cool we need a dragon! But why does it have holes in it's neck?

Those were ment to be ring markings but I'm planning on getting rid of them along with the wings on the tail and replace them with something else. Other then that it should be okay. ^^

That's a pretty cool idea. So what type is it, Dark/Dragon I'm assuming? And the design doesn't look to complicated, either. Just a black and red serpent. Pretty cool. I might make a drawing for this one too.

Cool. It's nice to finally have an avian-Dragon-type.


Dark/Dragon sounds good, although, maybe it should be Dragon/Dark? Because Hydreigon is Dark/Dragon...


Yes I'm so picky I care about the assortment of types, but I am a bit of a perfectionist.


Also, I had a Poke'mon name idea named 'Ravenous' (pronounced Ray-vehn-us), it is Raven+Ravenous (as in extremely hungry). I couldn't think of a way to make it without making it too similar to Honchkrow, but maybe it could be this guy's pre-evolution/evolution? Just an idea.

Ravenous is already a word in the English language. Pronunciation won't make much of a difference. It's not a very good name, Dedede. And I don't think it would make much sense for a bird to evolve into a dragon anyway.

As for type assortment, I'm really not sure which should come first. You guys can debate about that if you want. In fact, Shard hasn't actually confirmed its typing anyway.

When I did Draven in Spore, It's type was Dark/Flying. I wanna keep the dark type in there anyway but we're going to need a vote on whats it's second type should be. I'll add a voting poll later on today if I can.

I'm fine with either dragon or flying. However, if we do make it Dragon, then we're going to need to cut back on the other dragons we include. Because we don't want to include too many new dragons, that would just be weird. Two evolution chains at most.

Personally, I favor Dragon/Dark, as there are already two Dark/Flying Poke'mon families. But Dark/Flying is great, too.


P.S. I actually already have an idea for a Dragon type family, however, only the final evo is actually Dragon-type.

That actually seems like a cool idea, blix. I don't think there's ever been a non-dragon type that evolves into a dragon. EDIT: except vibrava and altaria.

But I thought there was only one dark/flying family, the murkrow line. Is there one I'm forgetting?

Ah, right. Almost forgot those fools. I don't like them very much, so my brain probably kicked them out to make space for more important knowledge.

For organizational purposes, I'm considering this pokemon Dark/Dragon unless the creator says otherwise.

Sorry to go off topic but...I'm back from my hoilday and it was great!! Now that I have that out of the way, I'll get back on topic. I thought extremly hard on Draven's types. I've decided that Draven will be a Dark and Dragon type cause well it only has a raven like look on it's face and wings but despite that, it's a dragon by body, tail and feet. When I have the time, I will update Draven.
