Mercecat, Massafur and Nyassin

Nyassin has a bodyshape similar to Jigglypuff. It its brown and has huge bright green eyes. It wears large white gloves and has a small metal helm on it's head. It wears metal boots. It's tail has axe blades on it.

These Poke'mon have a somewhat human-like body shape. Their body is covered with armor. Their face more closely resembles a cat than it's pre-evolution, it is the same color but has a white stripe where the nose is. They lack arms, however they have a cat-like tail with a tip like a large broadsword.

They are based of a Mercenary and a cat.

It appears to be a long-haired cat. It has huge eyes and wears body armor and a horsehair helm. It's tail resembles a Hammer.

It's name is a mix of Massacre and fur.



Please, give suggestions. Also, spriters (or anyone else for that matter) may change small details at will.

No, please... we're not using the name Execute. It's too similar to Exeggcute and it's already an English word. "No argument" is an expression meaning the argument is over before it even started. Please come up with another name.

And one more thing: does it really need to be Steel type? We already have Hornerol, and the cute pokemon are generally normal type anyway.

Okay... if you feel that strongly about it. :/ I don't have any other names...


I don't think Normal type fits well, how about Fighting-type?

Anyway, maybe the first evolution can be named "Weapocute" as in weapon and cute while the second evolution can be named "Mercecat" as in mercenary and cat obviously!

I don't like Weapocute, the name doesn't sound good or have a pun, both of which are generally needed for a good name. maybe something like Weaponyan, with Nyan being the Japanese onomatopoeia for the noise a cat makes (or, to say it simply, the Japanese word for Meow.)

Yeah I didn't like weapocute that much me neither but I thought king requested cute in the name... But weaponyan is new and great!

I think Weaponyan sounds too awkward to pronounce.

So this Pokemon is based of the Puss in boots?

I suppose that works, it's really just based of an Executioners and Mercenaries, but I don't like Poke'mon with humanoid designs so cat-like seemed appropriate.

Not just Jynx, I dislike Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Makuhita's evolution, Jynx, ect..

And if you make Massafur Fightning/Steel? And, for Weaponyan, it sounds like the Nyan Cat. How about Nyarai? Is Nyan + Samurai. Or Nyassin (Nyan + Assasin).

I sort of like Nyassin.

Nyassasin has a smooth feel to it. Not so much Nyamurai.

I don't know why, but Nyassin sounds better and sounds like of.... silent. So it could come and... and you haven't see or hear it.

Since everybody likes it, I'll go for Nyassin.


Also, originally I was going to make Massafur Fighting/Steel... so I guess that's what I'll do.

I actually quite like Nyassin. It's shorter than most names, making it good for a Prevo, and it's also a nice sounding, high-quality name.

I think pure fighting fits better, since there's really no reason for it to become a steel type, but it's really your call.

It's covered in Steel-armor (in fact, all three evos are), but whatever, I'll change it to Fighting. Anyway, that'll mean Poison-types can hit it.

No! Please, make Massfur Fightning/Steel!

I've been thinking of a design for this and i think we shouldn't add them weapons, it makes them less "pokemonish".
However we could add, for example a tail with an axe shape and a tail with a sword shape in order to have them without being real weapons.
