Snake Poke'mon: Bython

They look similar, which is what I was trying to get at (probably shouldn't have put 'sounds'). Anyone who sees it would think of snazzy, which, as you say, has a completely different meaning. There isn't any way of people knowing the pronounciation, so many would just think it sounds like Snazzy.

What means Snazzy?

I find it quite hard to explain, so here's a link to it in Wiktionary, but it is completely opposite to the kind of name we're looking for.

Snayzy? that would make the pronunciation more obvious.

I prefer it not to have any evolutions, it's supposed to be a Poke'mon you (rarely) find early on and has the stats of a fully evolved Poke'mon. If you really want it to have an evolutionary relative, I think it should be a baby Poke'mon.


I love the sketch Dimafo. Maybe it could have horns over it's eyes like a viper.... or maybe you could give it a bit of shed skin on the top of it's head that looks like a sleeping-cap.

Rattack sounds too much like Rattata. Snayzy just sounds ugly. I think we should use something different.

I've just thought of Bithon or Biton... as for bite and python! keeps the prononciation of python but with different letters and pf course the "B". What you say?

It's unclear where the accent is in the word "Bithon" so maybe "Bython" would work better? We don't want people to be using the wrong pronunciations. Other than that, I like it.

For me 1 is the best hands down! Head, body and pose... If you like you can put the horns of 4 like they are placed on it side to the eyes not behind like 3.

You can also stick some fangs out just it can be much intimidating one from each side on the front of the mouth... The patterns on the back are perfect... You can put a little rattle on the end of it's tail like rattle snakes so it can be different from all other snake pokemon in the game!

I like the first design the best. Looks like it has a mask over its eyes, like it's a thief. Snakes are usually associated with that sort of thing, especially the egg-eaters.

They're all awesome, but the first one is the best in my opinion, however, could you make it's eyes a bit droopy as if it's tired?

Ah Yes! It's supposed to be fat and lazy! So maybe make the body more fat if you can!

well, second version; i modifyed the eye (now it looks femenin, i don't know why), the patterns, i conserved the black shape over the head, i made it more fat too, and i've thought of adding something to the tail. As ekans is already a rattlesnake
i decided to add the tail some kind of espheric thing, however, it's 100% experimental so speak your mind without hesitating.

I like he design... but not sure about the sphere on it's tail... I think it's a little bit misplaced... Maybe you can put a big hook at the end of the tail since it's a lazy snake it can use it's hook like tail to hunt and grab things! But I really don't know... Just a suggestion! But Very cool snake overall!

Hmm, the eyes do look feminine. Maybe it's eyes could be completely closed like Snorlax then?
