Post your in-game teams!

Title is self-explanatory. Well, here's the team I use in White, in numerical order:


REGISTEEL (no cool nickname, but I'm considering Registall)

- Toxic
- Protect
- Curse
- Iron Head

The world's best toxic staller. I added this guy to my team after I beat the Elite Four. Toxic wears down on the opponent, regardless of defenses (unless they're Steel or Poison). Protect helps keep the stall going. Curse increases physical bulk while raising the power of Iron Head, which deals a TON of damage when he's at +6. I give him Leftovers, as all good walls should have.


Smugleaf

- Leaf Storm
- Leaf Blade
- Return
- Growth

If I have time to use Growth, then it powers up all my moves. Then I can go ahead Leaf Storm if I'm up against a strong opponent. If I need to keep going, then Leaf Blade isn't affected by the SpAtk drop. Return is powerful and gives plenty of neutral coverage.


Slippy

- Rain Dance
- Strength
- Earthquake
- Surf

Rain Dance activates Swift Swim while simultaneously powering up Surf. Earthquake is there for secondary STAB, and Strength provides neutral coverage where it is needed. He's also the bulkiest pokemon on my team and can last a while. He's the one I use when I need to dispatch an Electric type.


Broodonkus

- Acrobatics
- Rock Slide
- Fly
- U-Turn

I hate to have two flying-type moves on this guy, but I have to fly on something, right? Acrobatics is crazy powerful when he isn't holding anything, which he isn't. Rock Slide isn't as powerful for a secondary STAB, but it's more accurate than Stone Edge. Accuracy is everything with this guy, since one miss could activate Defeatist if I give the foe a chance to strike back. U-turn gets me out of there.


Mienshao (no cool nickname, so sad)

- Meditate
- Hi-Jump Kick
- Acrobatics
- U-turn

This guy is the world's best Liepard counter. Liepard comes out and uses Fake Out on him, but luckily, he has Inner Focus so he hits right back with a Hi-Jump Kick. Down and out. Acrobatics doesn't get STAB, but it's still pretty darn powerful and gets some nice coverage. U-turn gets me out of there. I hardly ever have time to use Meditate.


Enfuego

- Quiver Dance
- Heat Wave
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic

I did not get this one in the Relic Castle. I raised it from the Larvesta egg. He's the star of my team. Quiver Dance raises all the right stats in all the right places. Heat Wave and Bug Buzz make a great STAB combo. Psychic rounds it off by destroying Fighting types, Poison types, and Toxicroak.

Honorable mention:




I used all these in my team at one point. I traded away my Panpour, since I had Slippy instead. I used Sawk until I got Mienfoo in a GTS negotiation trade. BlueEye was from the trade in Driftveil, and it was pretty awesome. However, I didn't need more water types. Klinklang (nicknamed Gigagear) was on my team when I beat the elite four the first time. I figured out soon after that Registeel was a better Toxic staller, though.

Charizard

-Belly Drum
-Fire Fang
-Earthquake
-Substitute

Standard Bellyzard, first I substitute, hoping that they are using the first turn prepping as well. On the second turn I Belly Drum, and the substitute takes any hits sent my way. By the third turn attack is up 400%, and Charizard can outrun just about everything, especially with a Salac berry(boosts speed when health is below 1/3) attached.



Swampert

-Earthquake
-Avalanche
-Stealth Rock
-Waterfall

Avalanche is there to counter Grass-types, and thanks to Swampert's crappy speed, it's almost certain to go second. Earthquake and Waterfall provide reliable STAB coverage.



Gardevoir

-Calm Mind
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
-Psychic

Calm Mind raises her stats to insane levels, and Focus Blast, Shadow Ball and Psychic hit everything for neutral damage, so it has extremely wide coverage.



Zoroark

-Nasty Plot
-Focus Blast
-Dark Pulse
-Flamethrower

Using Illusion I can pretend it's Togekiss, so they will believe it to be fairly harmless, and after a couple of Nasty Plots which they think I will Baton Pass, I lash out. This strategy is a little risky though, as a single hit could ruin the whole thing.



Togekiss

-Nasty Plot
-Baton Pass
-Air Slash
-Wish

Almost totally devoted to healing others, this one. Nasty Plot or Wish then Baton Pass.


I don't have a sixth Pokemon, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

^ Nice. For your sixth slot, you need something else that can take advantage of Togekiss's Nasty Plot BP. I suggest Omastar, since fossil pokemon are cool. Archeops also has respectable Special Attack and great speed, so you could always go special with it for a surprise factor. However, that runs the risk of activating Defeatist on the switch-in.

If you're not a fan of fossil pokes, then maybe some other special attacker would work. I'll let you know if I think of anything.

Here's my original Pearl team. I still have it, I just never use it. I don't feel like posting all the movesets and explanations, so I'll just post their pictures.

Archeops sounds good, I'll run it with SpAtk and Speed, hit hard and fast. After those Nasty Plots, it'll be pretty insane.

Gelo I have a tip for your Mienshao. It can learn Swords Dance which you get from one of the Sages, you should replace Meditate with it.

Well,i have had teams in ruby(twice),esmerald,diamond and SS.
I was kind of a begginer (althought i had already played Crystal) when i started with ruby so my first teams despite of winning many battles (i had groudon and registeel so..) weren't competitive at all. In esmerald i tryed to pick up pkm wich i liked so the team wasn't really good at battling at all. When i started playing diamond, i had still esmerald in my mind so i didn't take care of phys/special split... And well, here i'll post my SS team which has some of my favourite pkm and tries to be useful competively (although it's not well balanced, i know).I created this team as a posthumous team as SS is going to be my last pkm game ever unless gamefreak brings up something brilliant or we achieve in making our game. For this reason this team it hasn't been thought for being a super team.

Well, here it is, i would like you to advise me choosing the best 3pkm combination to deal with the battle tower and something to defeat my black beast -a pkm that everyone has and always manage to beat my pkm whatever the combination-just frustating!- Weavile with icepunch, brick break, night slash and whatever (yes, i've countered it so many times i almost know its moves by memory).

I'm making a grass monotype team in Sapphire. Here's the projected team I'm aiming for:

^I like the team, although maybe some pkm would work better in 4th gen than in 3d gen. And, i have had a Tropius and although i like the concept i must warn you; it isn't competitively good; any ice attack takes it in one hit, whatever the oponent!

No, I took the Sugimori artwort (rendered from Bulbapedia) and put it on a Dream World background. Then I applied a dark brush paint daub effect from Photoshop to make it look like that.
