Anyway, I kind of liked the orb on the end of his tail, but he's good without it too.

Aww, he's pretty cute! :3 You're very skilled, Dimafo, I don't know what I'd do without you, the other people with any skill at all always ignore my 'mon...

I like that artwork. Maybe this should have a purple and orange colour scheme?

Maybe a brown and orange color scheme, so it doesn't look too much like Ekans.

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
But it is Poison type, and Purple would only help by making that more obvious. Maybe have the diamonds on it's back as purple and the body orange?

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
Since this is supposed to be a common early-game pokemon (as far as I can see) I think more muted colors would be more appropriate. I don't see any problem with having purple diamonds on its back, but remember that we don't necessarily have to make its type obvious. Just look at Kabutops.

While I'm not making a clear decision on the purple, you may want to note that they're based of Corn Snakes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_Snake

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
Oh! Wow! This is really good! It makes you say How cute with that smile and it's happy look but those fangs make you reconsider that! I like it! Good job!
As for the colors I agree with gelo... Not every poison type needs to be purple... Brown, yellow, orange all work! And I really like the yellow, orange origanal colors of the corn snake!

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
slightly fixed the shading a bit, making some outline places darker and adding a bit more rounding shading
*EDIT* changed to 64x64 (it was slightly bigger)

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
I like the sprite although i would have painted some lines in black; try to observe a real pkm sprite and you'll see most of the inline and outlines are black, they only change their colour when are placed directly to the light; so that, when colours are brighters outlines are too. Anyway, it's good just like it is but if you want to improve it just try my advise!

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
Look, J. You're pretty good at sprites, but you need to know some tricks.
I'm going to tell you one for now.
1.- If you're making curves, never make them jagged. Long lines and some short do the work.
Look. I tried to smooth it a bit. I'm not insulting you, 'cause you're a really good spriter, is only that you could use some help. Everyone could, including me.
There it is. If you want to use it, lemme know. I can help you a bit with your sprites.

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
Wow... That is really good! See, now that's teamwork!
I think DiZ and J woo do a very good job together at spriting... While J woo come up with the pose and general idea for the sprite, Diz simply corrects all the little imperfection it has! Really guys great job!

Re: Snake Poke'mon: Bython
Yes J woo... But what you do makes it easier and less time consuming for one to make a sprite! What I was saying is that when two work at a sprite like that it takes less time to be finished. Besides I wasn't talking only about this one but also about your grapop family...
