Yes Gelo, I know you think they're a waste of money.

Anyways, for the more normal people among us, what's your opinion on the 3DS? Good, Bad, that kinda thing. Also, Friend Codes. Post 'em.

I got mine the day before launch day (quick postage), and, while there have been times I haven't played it in weeks, don't regret it. It's only downfall is the lack of games, something I think'll change soon.

So yeah.

They're not necessarily a waste of money, but they don't really have anything that I personally need that a DS Lite doesn't have. Except the games, of course, but I can use my brother's 3DS when the new Paper Mario game comes out.

Never seen one in close up and never played with one and never will! I think that their are just made so people keeps bying "New stuff" if your normal DS is suddenly boring!

...They're like the GBA was to the GBC. Not like the DSi to the DS. It's a huge step up in terms of graphics and power. While not as large as the Vita will be, it's that kind of a step.

I agree with Gelo on all terms.

The only reason I'd think of buying one is because of the games. And that's how Nintendo gets money even out of the stubborn people.

MMMMM.... Coming to think about it! Do you think that the next pokemon game (If it turns out that they are making one of course) will only work on a Nintendo 3DS?

If that's the case I think I'm going to stick with black and white!

Probably not until gen VI. They'll want to make all the gen V games compatible, including the ruby and sapphire remakes if they ever come out.

As most people, i've gone through GBA, DS-broke down-DSL.
However, i haven't felt like buying 3DS, i don't know why, but i don't see me like playing it...About the games i don't think they are really impressive anyways ( i just feel nostalgic for Star fox 64 adventures-but for starfox i still can have Gamecube's one, although i know it isn't as good as the 64-!).
And about pokémon, i still think SS will be my last pokémon game ever (unless we finnally do the game or Gamefreak gives us something spectacular-no, i don't find BW enough good).Nevertheless, i don't think pkm games being in 3D in a nearly future.

I think that it is worse than the DS Lite or the DSi. I mean, it could have a lot of more games, but its battery only have capacity for four hours. And the DS Lite/i has capacity for 17 hours. A huge diference. And sometimes the 3D don't works properly.

The 3D works perfectly. The problem is that it sucks up your battery power and it's really not that spectacular in the first place.

Although it's true 3D works ok, for some people don't. I mean, 3DS' 3D isn't as the normal 3D we are used to. In fact it's based on an optical illusion caused by the eyes separation. So for people with an unusual eye's separation doesn't work so well, the effect. And, in addition, as it's based on that illusion, it's also affected by luminic changes...although i don't know the real effect.

No it's not. Light is physically blocked from reaching the other eye. It's not an optical illusion.
